BUFFÈRE™

BUFFÈRE™ was developed around a simple idea: when the skin barrier is compromised, it often needs more than a heavier moisturizer. It needs water retention, lipid replenishment, and protection from environmental stress working together.

Part of our formulation philosophy is to design for the extremes; considering people with exceptionally dry, reactive, eczema-prone skin, as well as those who may need or prefer to avoid ingredients commonly found even in sensitive-skin formulas.

For that reason, BUFFÈRE™ is intentionally formulated without nut butters such as shea or cupuaçu, an important consideration for those who prefer to avoid nut-derived ingredients. It is also grain-free, providing an alternative for people avoiding grain-derived ingredients such as colloidal oatmeal, despite oatmeal’s well-established place in sensitive-skin and barrier care.

We also leave out ragweed-family botanicals such as chamomile, as well as traditional fatty-alcohol structuring ingredients. BUFFÈRE™ is additionally hyaluronic acid-free, niacinamide-free, tocopherol-free, and soy-free.

Rather than simply removing ingredients, we built an alternative barrier system. At its heart is 7% ectoin, paired with 8.10% liposomal allantoin, more than 5% panthenol, 5.55% jojoba phospholipids, ceramides NP, AP and EOP, cholesterol, sodium PCA, and saccharide isomerate. Together, these ingredients address water retention, soothing support, environmental stress, and lipid replenishment through multiple complementary pathways.

Use  BUFFÈRE™ when skin feels very dry, tight, reactive, depleted, or over-treated, and on recovery nights between stronger treatments such as acids and retinoids. It can also be incorporated as additional barrier support around hair and skin professional treatments with your provider’s guidance.
