BUFFÈRE™ is designed for the extremes: very dry, reactive skin that tightens, stings or flushes easily, and anyone who has learned to avoid certain ingredient families. It’s also for sensitive scalps that feel dry or uncomfortable after color, chemical or scalp treatments.

A lightweight, fast-absorbing barrier concentrate that helps restore hydration and comfort and supports the skin’s natural barrier function. We built it like a skin diet. We removed the ingredients reactive skin most often struggles with, including some of the most popular soothing ingredients in skincare, then rebuilt the formula around alternatives with a quiet track record.
Barrier depletion: ectoin, jojoba phospholipids, ceramides, cholesterol and panthenol help replenish the lipid “mortar” that holds the skin’s surface together.
Dehydration: sodium PCA, saccharide isomerate, aloe and glycerin help skin attract and hold water.
Environmental stress: ectoin, studied for its protective and stabilizing properties, helps skin withstand daily stressors.
Retinoids, acids, minoxidil, frequent cleansing, chemical treatments and environmental exposure can all leave skin and scalp dry and irritated. BUFFÈRE™ doesn’t add another active. It gives the barrier what it needs to recover, so the rest of your routine is easier to tolerate.
The name joins the French barrière with “buffer”: a formula that stands between the skin and what it struggles with.
The idea is a skin diet. Elimination diets remove the most common triggers first, then rebuild with what the body tolerates. We did the same with skincare. We left out colloidal oatmeal, often considered the gold standard for soothing dry skin, because oat is a grain and some very reactive skin becomes sensitized to it. We left out the ragweed family, a known source of contact allergy for some reactive skin, and nut butters. In their place: mango seed butter, a lamellar olive-derived emulsifier system and a ceramide complex that mirrors the skin’s own structure.
We call it formulating with intentional restraint: allergen-aware by design.
A treatment companion for skin and scalp. Use BUFFÈRE™ on its own, or alongside high-active routines such as retinoids, exfoliating acids, minoxidil, or professional skin and hair treatments. It helps support hydration, barrier function and comfort, so treatment routines are easier to keep up.
Skin: apply a small amount to clean skin. Use it alone as a lightweight hydrator, or as a cushioning layer under other products.
Scalp: apply a thin layer to dry or sensitive areas.
First time? Patch test on the inner arm or behind the ear for a few days before using it on your face or scalp.
